Respair completes $2M Series Seed Funding Round

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — July 2025 — Respair Inc., a Pittsburgh-based medical device company developing technologies to reduce respiratory complications, announced the closing of a $2 million Seed financing round to support continued development and commercialization of its lead product, RelianceET.

RelianceET is an endotracheal tube designed to improve airway management in high-risk patients. The financing will support product development, manufacturing scale-up, regulatory testing, and preparations for FDA submission.

“Closing this round gives us the resources to move RelianceET through the next major stages of development and toward the clinic,” said Ross Beresford, Co-Founder and CEO of Respair. “We have spent the past several years refining the technology, working closely with clinicians, and building a regulatory strategy. This funding allows us to accelerate that work and continue building the company around a clear clinical need.”

The round was supported by a group of strategic and institutional investors, including health system partners and experienced medical device investors.

Respair is advancing RelianceET through manufacturing development, verification and validation testing, and continued engagement with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The company is also exploring future applications of its airway technology in additional patient populations.
